The elementary school is located near downtown and the middle and high school is housed at the west side of town. Grades PK-5 are in the elementary and 6-12 in the secondary (middle/high) school. Paynesville Area Public Schools also offers ECFE, ECSE, preschool and daycare. Paynesville Motor and Transfer offers school bus services for the school district.

Lake Koronis is also nearby and offers 2,958 acres of water for your enjoyment.
